Need assistance or have questions about how to use Althea Room? Here are answers to common questions and practical steps for navigating our digital sanctuary.

## Getting started with the soundscape blender

Our web soundscape player lets you mix up to four ambient sound layers simultaneously (such as rain, night winds, campfire, and melodic tones).

Use the individual volume sliders to adjust the balance of each sound, click active orbs to remove or swap sounds, and use the master mute button to pause playback at any time. Audio runs directly inside your web browser via the Web Audio API.

## Requesting early access and receiving updates

You can request early access on our early access page by submitting your email. You can optionally share whether you are a student, educator, or creator to help us tailor cohort invitations.

If you already submitted an email and need to update your details or wish to be removed, email hello@althea.room with the subject 'Early Access Update'.

## Browser compatibility and performance

Althea Room is optimized for modern web browsers including Safari, Chrome, Edge, and Firefox on both desktop and mobile devices.

If you experience audio stuttering or low performance, ensure your device's low-power mode is disabled and check that your browser tab has permissions enabled for audio playback.

## Crisis and mental health support

Please note that Althea Room is not an emergency service or mental health crisis provider. If you or someone you know is in crisis, immediate help is available.
